Lyra and I traveled to Owl Crossing Ranch for a quick visit
to see my cousins, their new baby CeCe, and visit with my aunt Diane.
Had a nice visit. Lyra's tiny personality really peaked this weekend.
She had her first tooth break through (bottom tooth so hard to
photograph).
We all learned that Lyra loves half full soda or water
bottles. She also enjoys sucking on fruits. Her favorites strawberries and
raspberries; not much of a fan of blueberries.
Traveling solo with baby
on Southwest proved challenging when she is awake because she is such a wiggle
monster. She slept all the way home which was nice.
I forgot my
license at home which proved to be a challenge leaving and returning. We
had to go through extra security. On the way home I had to get a pat down twice in private because I had "suspicious" substance on my hands. I
think it was the Vaseline residue I had on my fingers from using it on
the baby. It was a challenge to hold a baby and get felt up at the same
time. Of course, Lyra was perfect and got lots of smiles and googly eyes from the female TSA agents. Its hard not to smile at such a happy baby.

We stopped for
a quick bite to eat after the airport because Diane was starved. Baby
attempted to relieve her tooth pain on a solid piece of bread. Little
did we know a tooth was about to pop up that very day.

Baby Lyra loves to pound on objects, so why not learn the piano with Nana. |

Naptime is a difficult task for Lyra. Sleep is hard to find for mom. |

Holding Cece reminds me how small Lyra used to be not long ago. |
