Day 1 of our 15 hr road trip with Teething Toddler

Day 1
We started north from Oceanside, Ca in our loaded Kia Sportage. We left around noon stopping to have a bite to eat with Nana in Fullerton.
Griffin and Grace called earlier this am to tell us that they made it safely to Ohio and we're head to their cousins farm.
We reach Kettleman City Best Western around 5 pm. We ate the cute little make shift western town, Bravo Farms Wild Jacks Bar-B-Que. The outside play around would have the perfect outlet for a hyper toddler however Lyra top and bottom molars are coming in and she is not having any fun.
Lyra and I ventured outside to see that each of the building that makes up the western town has something for kids to climb on, pull on, open, swing on, or slide down. There is even a sand box with tractors, a cow to sit on, and car to climb on. I highly recommend this spot for those traveling on the 5 freeway with young kids who need to let out some energy.

This is what a teething toddler looks like in a place full of unique play structure.
I ate a strawberry salad which was tasty. I tried Lyra's uneaten mac and cheese, it wasn't too bad either. Tony order ribs, which turns out they were out of, what?? So he settled for 6 side orders of dry tri-tip. My wine was served in a plastic rectangle cup, strange.
There is a gift shop, wine tasting, and a creamy for those traveling spenders. Also a neat cross section of an old redwood tree.
