While traveling south we found a Children's Science museum across the street from the University of Oregon's football field. The museum exhibits were a tad run down but the place was empty and gave the kids a break from sitting in the boring car. We got to walk around a bit, collect wild flowers, and chase Canadian Geese. During our trip we ate at Black Bear Dinner three times. Lyra loved looking at the bear tracks and hugging the bears. We stayed one night in Yreka and explored the abandon train station. Grace wanted to be dared to jump in the pool. So of course I did...watch the video to enjoy her jumping in right there on the spot in COLD water.
Pictures sometimes speak louder than words...
Someone is in control
No one asked mom if she wanted to be in the picture :(
The kids and I enjoyed our morning walks along the beach looking for sea creatures. Grace and I found a crab that "peed" all over her. We drove and explored the tide pools at Haystack, Cannon Beach. It was windy and cold. The girls ran around pretending to be airplanes.
We had fantastic time with Cece, Justin, and Becky but time had come for them to head back home. Once back in Seaside, while Tony went to work out, the kids and I went to explore Funland, the shops, and eat sweets. While at Funland, Grace won the jackpot on a spin the wheel came. She won over 1000 tickets. It most have taken ten or more minutes for all the tickets to print out.
That night the kids and Tony ate dinner. While Lyra and I hung out at the hotel. Lyra made friends with a Seagull she named, Peacock, that stood just outside our hotel window. She broke of pieces of her ice cream cone and threw them out to Peacock. Peacock enjoyed the tasty treat.

Cece tried and tried to pose with Lyra for a hug with no success
