Lyra's First Hair Cut

Pigtails and Crewcuts offered a perfect first haircut location for our little Lyra. While flying on an airplane and watching Little Mermaid Lyra had a little cut. She was the perfect client.

Kendall Farms Dinner

While granddad watched the kids and attempted to reinforce potty training Lyra, Tony and I enjoyed dinner at Kendall Farms. Kendall farms is one of the worlds largest South African flower farms. They specialize in the sale of beautiful floral arrangements.
The dinner was set hillside with a white tent covering elegantly covered tables with beautiful flower arrangements.
Everything was local. Local flowers, local chef, local wine, local food, and local beer.
Tony and I went on a tour along with other dinner quests that covered much of their 500 acre farm. Jason Kendall shared the family history and information about the plant varieties grown.  Once back I enjoy a flower tutorial by Jason's wife.
Tony and I stayed late into the night chatting with some lively dinner quests. We were there so late the had to kick us out but not without letting us leave with four floral arrangements and four bunches of flowers. Needless to say our house has a pleasant aroma (and so does my office).
