Over Winter Break we enjoyed hanging with friends and family. We went to the ever so fun Belmont Park with lots of rides and few people. I really enjoyed handing out with the Sandoval family on such a beautiful day. Lyra made snow sand angels and played in muddy puddles while we watched. Good times were had by all.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park 2016
We enjoyed family time while viewing some of the largest land animals around. Although it was not super cool weather the clouds and slight breeze provide some respite from the 87 degree temperature. Adventurous nana offered to take Griffin on the zipline only to have him decline. I was so impressed that my mom was willing to go on the zipline too I offered that Grace would go with her and it could be her Christmas gift. Nana even purchased the Gopro view for Grace; which gives viewers an inside look at the zipline experience at the park; and you see Nana zipping past Gracie.
We enjoyed looking at the enormous cats, "free range" African animals, gorillas, bats, and more. By 2 pm Lyra was running on low and the tipping point was when a goat decided to try to head butt her as she tried to pet him while resting.
Overall it was a great day with the family that I know at least four of us will remember forever. And we saw lots of our rhino family members.

Diane's 37th Birthday
Being a mother means that your best gifts are your kids' happiness. I took the kids to Ohana Cupcake to make mini cupcakes and decorate them. To burn off the sugar and take up some time we went across the parking lot to ChuckeCheese while we waited for Tony to join us for a late birthday dinner. Tony met up with as a Hooked on Sushi for my birthday dinner. It was a good day.
