School outfits

Girls are so fun to dress. Lyra had to wear the hot pink shoes. She picked them out with daddy. Although the shoes are too big she is happily wearing them.

Lyra's is talking and singing

Its so fascinating to watch Lyra develop language. Yesterday I noticed she has been calling water, agua, for a while now I just never picked up on it. You have to be around a small child to pick up their language to understand what she is stating. She has a fairly large vocabulary. I tried listing all the words. It was long.
She is now singing which is so cute. Her are some videos were I tried to capture her singing, speaking and saying one word in Spanish.
First Video- The time I noticed her singing was on our evening strolls. It is hard to walk up hill, sing and record. The videos are not the best because you can hear her clearly.
Second Video- Lyra begins saying no, then says agua (spanish for water), and then she say peek a boo which sort of sounds like, "peektabye".

San Onofre Day

Carrie Gibson organized a perfect outing for family and friends at San Onofre beach.
Early Saturday we woke and rushed around the house packing all the necessary beach accessories for a long day in the water and sand. We made sure we had food, chairs, boogie boards, drinks, shade, water, diapers, and change of clothes. I believe we were fairly prepared however you could always be more ready. Like more chairs, small table, water shoes (the rocks hurt our feet), or check the older kids bags to make sure they had everything they were suppose to pack.We waited on minutes in line before we headed down from the ranger station to the beach.
We enjoyed splashing in the water, chatting with friends, and watching the kids play. I did not take a ton of pictures near the water for free of ruining the phone (I take all pictures with my Samsung Galaxy Note, it takes great pictures).
Griffin and Grace played well with Morrison and Lyra. Both needed a little coaching out to the water because the rocks were a little rough to deal with on the way in (and out) of the water. I bonded with them as Tony watched Lyra. Griffin's back and Tony's knees and shins are as red as a poinsettia flower.

Lyra was the perfect child, not one cry, entertain herself and others while dancing
